AYURVIHAR MEDICAL COLLEGE
Architectural design concept developed for Medical College Building straddles between a non-descript hospital Block and a much architecturally defined iconic hostel building. Our approach for college building is to create a more transparent - reflective building which promotes open learning and interactive environment, intersection of Yin and Yang that represents the center point of the plaza. It is eco-friendly in terms of movement of air and inclusion of ambient day light. Essentially a Form that follows Climate in its true sense.Overall form response to much more gregarious and interactive ambiance towards plaza and hostel building, whereas more restrain on Physo-theraphy center, hospital and nala sides. Tithal has a tropical savanna climate (Aw) with heavy to extremely heavy rainfall from June to September, when it is under the direct influence of the South-west monsoon.. It experiences three distinct seasons of mild winters, warm summers and humid monsoons. The plot size is 2786 Sq. Ft. and has a trapezoidal shape. The house is planned in ‘T’ shape, so that each living space opens up in adjacent courts at least on two sides. It allows cross-ventilation in spaces during warm summers and humid monsoons.
