AYURVIHAR PLAZA

The emphasis of the project was to celebrate landscape through its resilience, reparative character and determinance for a 1.5 acres site in Mumbai.An existing parking lot between the hospital and the newly erected Hostel building was to be transformed into a central open for its staff, visitors and students.

The design intent for an area of 11,191 sq. mt. of site was to make peripheries active for different purposes addressing the present and future needs. The centre of the space was charted for a congregation of events and celebrations. East node delineated as an entrance of the plaza and spill over of the hospital. West node is a platform in front of the hostel building and is used as a stage for events, performances etc. North node the existing laundry building was suggested to house a café, indoor games and small informal gatherings. South node is an isolated place for keeping the nallah edge untouched, with a forest.
