WING HOUSE

Wing house is located in a nearby town of valsad, Gujarat. The surrounding of the site is quiet and has rural houses on the west side and an internal road on the east side of the site. The clients brief about their dream house was to keep maximum outdoor spaces for occasional gatherings and parties. So,considering it the building layout is laid in East-West direction.

The House entrance is faced towards the east.Basically, according to the program, the spaces are divided into two wings private and semi private spaces. The central  staircase cabins merge both the wings.

One section contains semi private spaces living, kitchen, prayer space, utility and outdoor dining. The centralised dining area creates a sense of continuity between two wings, that opens up towards the north courtyards, that penetrated maximum amount of natural light into the house and ventilation through the openings that creates the interaction between built and unbuilt. The achieved height of the house will make the circulation of air throughout the house. The deck on the southern side is a multi-functional center for activitiesThe large openings in the house opens up into the lush green land- scape of the site. The idea was to prevent south facade from the concept of double screening and maximum from north side. Also, the roofs of both wings are titled in the courtyard that is based on the orientation of the house.
